Why Are Americans Not Talking About the Beheaded French Teacher?Je suis Samuel. Look it up. I don’t want to be your informer. I lived in Paris during the Charlie Hebdo terror attacks, as well as le 13 Novembre. So, I’m paying attention. Coronavirus Diary Day 218: October 16, 2020

France is Closed, But Floribama is OpenAs I write this, France is shutting down for the second time since March on account of the ‘ol Coronavirus. In the greater Paris area and 8 other regions, bars and caf├ęs are closed, and a curfew from 9 pm – 6 am will begin this Saturday night.Of course, this is due to an uptick of COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations. There are now as many or more patients filling ICU beds than the previous high in April. Having said that, the all-time high in March was like 10 times as many as right now. So, I guess we’re just trying to get ahead of things, which makes sense. Kinda? This is your epic Friyay, Frenchies! Make it one for the books. In the meantime, The Hubs and I drove 17 hours from Pennsylvania to Florida during the last few days. We picked up an RV trailer in Chattanooga, so we can spend the next week in the Florida panhandle visiting my oldest son. He’s a bomb builder for the U.S. Air Force. I saw him yesterday for the first time since Christmas.

Coronavirus Diary Day 210: October 8, 2020

Trump, and Every Person Who Ever Worked in the White House, Have CoronaUnless you live under a rock, you know by now that Trump has the dreaded COVID-19. Also, everyone on his staff has it, too. As far as I can tell, no one is deathly ill, so I don’t see why Americans are so obsessed over it. In a few weeks, all the Washingtonians will be better, and they won’t have to worry about catching COVID-19 ever again. Personally, I’m jealous. But anyways. Where are we in these lockdown times? The U.S. presidential election is less than a month away. I think it’s safe to say the shit most definitely will hit the fan on November 3rd. Personally, I plan to vote-and-bug-out, which is sorta like dining and dashing, I guess, except without the legal obligations to pay your check.Last night marked the U.S. vice presidential debate, during which a fly landed on Mike Pence’s head. Here in the Philadelphia area, people can gather outdoors in limited capacity, and indoors at even more limited capacity. U…
